This August, for five nights only, audiences are invited to Teaċ Daṁsa’s home in the West Kerry Gaeltacht. A world premiere of new work made and performed in the place that shaped it.
1975 / Naoi Déag Seachtó Cúig brings together five exceptional dancers – Rachel Poirier, Jimmy Southward, Amit Noy, Aki Iwamoto, and Daniel Myers – in an intimate space on the edge of the Atlantic, celebrating and grieving the inevitability of change.
With just 75 seats each night, this is something rare: up close, alive, and unrepeatable. It marks the first time Teaċ Daṁsa will invite an audience into the place where the work begins. 1975 is a meeting place of music, memory, and movement.
Five chairs. Sharp suits. A dance floor.
And one legendary album: 1975 by The Bothy Band.

“I have always dreamed of making a dance theatre work to one complete music album. Of all the albums in all the world, it had to be 1975, by The Bothy Band.”
– Michael Keegan-Dolan
In 2025, Keegan-Dolan channels that album as both soundtrack and starting point.
5 Decades. 5 Dancers. 5 Nights.
See you there.
Bí linn agus fáilte.
