Blue Mountain Water Woman, (Louise) began training with Red Flower medicine woman, Heather Principe, in the Cree tradition of medicine lodges over 20 years ago. The Cree medicine lodge is an ancient tradition representing renewal and rebirth. The ceremony honours the feminine while bringing balance between male and female energies.

May 16th from 9am to 6pm for the lodge build and sweat
If you are joining to help us to build the lodge on the land if is useful to note the following:
We will cut the saplings returning to the lodge site to build. Building a lodge is a special ceremonial community experience.
It is advised to have a good breakfast the morning of the build and to bring some snacks and water to drink. The build generally takes around 3 hours. If you have spare loppers or secateurs, it is useful to bring them. Once the lodge is built, we will sweat.
May 17th from 9am to 3pm for a sweat
it is advised to eat lightly or fast and drink plenty of water.

In lodge, men wear shorts or swim trunks and women wear a dress or a skirt and t-shirt (not white) and nothing transparent; bring two towels.
After the lodge we will share food together. Those attending are asked to bring food to share, your own plate, cup, bowl and cutlery and a camping chair or stool to sit on around the fire. Please also bring drinkingwater. It is important to stay hydrated before and after lodges.
Tobacco is a sacred plant in First Nations tradition. Tobacco smoke is a means of carrying prayers to the Creator. Tobacco is offered as thanks and as prayer during the lodge ceremony. Part of the lodge tradition is to offer tobacco to the medicine man or woman holding ceremony.
Participants are asked to bring a pouch of tobacco to share during the ceremony, pouches can be shared between participants.
Please bring any provisions you feel you will need and ensure you have, a change of clothing and decent footwear depending on the weather.
The suggested donation for one lodge to cover costs is €60. Donations cover the cost of lodge medicines, firewood andincidentals, cash is preferred. This contribution is voluntary – no one is ever turned away due to lack of funds
